FINE ARTS CONCERT

Brazilian Artists from Rio

Friday, October 25 at 7:00 p.m.

A Rio based group, Arts and Social Transformation

will be bringing a group of 10 to 13 young,

exceptional artists from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to

the United States of America. The concert will

feature Brazilian cultural / folk songs, original

compositions and dances, and some unique

interpretations of both Brazilian and American

songs.

Christmas repertoire, performed by our very own

LAUMC Sanctuary Choir, Jubilation Ringers,

Carillon Ringers, and Illumination Children’s Choir.

Comfort & Joy Christmas Cantata

Our praise band, LAMB, and the Sanctuary Choir

will be leading both services with a contemporary

Christmas cantata, teaching us the lesson of

comfort and joy that allow us to be thankful for the

memories of the past, the miracles of the moment,

and the promises of the future.

Organ Recital, Derek Gordon

In this wonderful recital, filled with beautiful and

majestic organ repertoire, Derek Gordon will be

celebrating his 25th year as LAUMC’s organist and

principal pianist, and 50th year as a church

musician. Also, Howard Hitchcock will present a

display of his bronze sculptures, paintings, and

prints.

CSU Long Beach Choral Concert

Five Mystical Songs by R. V. Williams

The Sanctuary Choir will be presenting one of the

finest choral-orchestral works of R. V. Williams. For

the baritone soloist, Dr. Joseph Wiggett will join us.

San Fernando Valley Youth Chorus

Sunday, May 4, 2014, 4 PM

Our Director of Music, Yohan Partan, will be

bringing his own Youth Chorus from the San

Fernando Valley. This awarded ensemble will be

bringing a concert full of music about love and hope.

LAUMC Spring Concert

Sunday, June 8, 2014, 4 PM

This spring concert will consist of a full handbell

program, Sanctuary Choir will present choral

literature by Michael Joseph Haydn, and our

children and youth will perform the Spring Musical.
