Legacy Giving

Los Altos United Methodist Church's Legacy Group, under the auspices of the church’s Foundation, was established in 2010. Members and friends of the church are encouraged to join the Legacy Group if they have given $1,000 to the church’s Foundation or have included the church’s Foundation in their estate planning.

The Foundation invests all donations in a balanced portfolio and each year the interest earnings from those investments are given to various church programs in the form of grants. Each year, in April, the Foundation accepts grant applications for the Foundation’s earnings.  The recipients of the grants are announced at the annual Legacy Group dinner.
